Located 600 km west of Fortaleza, Atins is a popular destination for kite surfers, and is the final stop for many legendary downwinders. Located in the Preguiças River Delta, the region is known for its winding river mouth, which forms sandbanks and shallow lagoons. With constant winds, Atins offers perfect conditions for the sport, especially between July and December, when the deserted beaches are bathed by winds of 15 to 30 knots. In addition, Vila Guará, at the entrance to Lençóis Maranhenses, provides a unique setting, with white sand dunes and underground water, making the experience even more unforgettable for kiters.
